Election 1 Week

Well, we're a week out from the elections, and I still don't know what to do for governor. Randy Stufflebeam is the pro-life write-in candidate, but obviously being a write-in he has no chance. Whereas I could just vote for pro-choice Topinko (Judy Barr Topinka-R) in hopes that she will be somewhat better on some pro-life issues than G-Rod (Governor Rod Blagojevich-D). Well... I have a week to think about it.

Vote for morals and what is right, its not about chances and who can win. Its simply about putting your suport into what you feel is right. If you vote or suport someone or a party that does not share your beleifs then what makes you think the party or candidate would ever change their position. By not voting or supporting the candidates that do not share your beleif it will cause the party and candidate to think about what you care about in order to get your vote next time. I am choosing morals and doing what I think is right by writing in Randy Stufflebeam for Governor! ech... what a crappy election for you

you have the lone pro-choice ...who is a no-hope write-in
you have the pro-death less-than-conservative so-called-gop no-spine... STOP
…my opinion –and firm belief- is political party be damned

It’s the ideology that brings the payoff, not the freaking donkey or elephant

Personally I would sit on my hands and vote for none, or do the write-in.

If you can’t trust a person to protect something as simple and basic as our children, in the womb or out… you can’t trust that person with anything…
“It’s only giving on one issue…” evil works that way- slowly… evil twists reality slowly. And LIFE is the fundamental issue, we know this.

The choice is yours, but this opinion is mine:
Don’t vote a pro-abort, the donkeys and elephants can piss off! Human life isn’t a political talking point.

Yeah. There seems to be two camps. I used to be firmly in the don't vote for governor or vote for the write-in candidate. But then some have made the case to me that we should get the GOP back into power in the state then work for change in the party. I'm still not sure what to do about. In the end its probably easier since JBT isn't really all that close to winning so it probably doesn't matter what I do.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
