A Random Collection

This is just a disjointed collection of some of the photos that I took this weekend.

In downtown Kenosha there was a car show this weekend on Saturday.

A 1902 Rambler

A Black GTO, my dream car.

Ghostbusters!

Kenosha is putting up a sculpture of Christopher Columbus on the lake front.

We also went to an apple farm where they had some veggies and other items on display.

Kenosha County Deputy Frank Fabiano was killed earlier this year on duty. His name was added on Friday to the memorial.

And a random picture of the streetcar.

They have about 4 or 5 of them (the Green one I guess is the Chicago one). The streetcars don't actually go anywhere, they go in a big 2 or 3 mile loop around the development HarborPark, past downtown, the lakefront, etc. There was some talk of expanding the route (I think it would be great to extend it towards Carthage College along the lakefront), but the system is not popular among the people of Kenosha.

If you ever stop in town though, a ride is only $.25 a person and if you get a chatty driver you can learn a whole lot. Around Christmas they have them decorated, and Santa, elves and Scrooge ride along with you.

What year was that Goat? Looks like a '65 or '66 but hard to tell for sure from the picture.

That old Rambler doesn't look much more refined than the '66 Rambler Cross Country wagon the family had.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
