The Police

This evening I had the opportunity to attend The Police concert at Wrigley field. Its been years since I've been to Wrigley, I remember being there when I was little and upon seeing the famous sign saying 'thats the sign from Perfect Strangers'. I'm a White Sox fan, so spending time at Wrigley was sort of a tug of war game between appreciating being at such a historic place and being horrified at being at the lair of the Cubs.

Ok, I admit it, I'm exaggerating a little. I lost a lot of my competitive spirit towards the Cubs after we won the World Series, and thats all thats keeping me going this season. Amusingly I'm going to a White Sox game tomorrow for my birthday. My birthday was actually in April, but that game was canceled and tomorrow is the makeup day.

Back to the Police! I ended up getting a small tote bag ($10), a keychain ($5), and a set of 5 pins ($10). I couldn't believe the prices of some of the stuff there. A hoodie was $115 or so.

The Police were really good. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but I enjoy some of it and I enjoyed the concert.

That must have been something. I wish the Rockies owners would consider using Coors Field as a concert venue (especially considering the team stinks on ice, so no one attends games otherwise, gotta make your money somehow).

And, the Police are one of my favorite bands.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
