This is the Problem

I was skimming through this article from the Chicago Tribune about Fr. Pfleger and this highlights the problem.

"Father Pfleger has always been a community activist first and a Catholic priest second," said Tio Hardiman, a longtime Chicago activist who has worked with Pfleger on anti-violence campaigns. "The black community accepts Father Pfleger as one of their own. But now I think he's going to have to make a decision about whether he's going to be a black community activist or a Catholic priest."

Yeesh, his priorities need an adjustment here. I visited the website of St. Sabina and it was hard to tell it belonged to a Catholic parish.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
