I just love the tapes that this clip comes from. Its so wonderful hearing Fr. Heuser's voice again. If I close my eyes its like sitting in one of the pews at church and listening to one of his great homilies.

- Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. This is an old pastor of yours? When did he leave your parish?
Fr. Heuser (the darker haired priest) was our pastor in Kenosha. He passed away February of 2006.
Those are good arguments that I hadn't thought of. It's kind of funny to see that clip, because you can tell that someone recorded it with a camera while playing the tape on a TV :)
Oh my goodness. Well this recording is very special. He was a great communicator. :) Thanks for sharing this with us.
