Randomness of the Day

Orthfully Catholic has some commentary up about an Iraqi Boy crucified and our P.C. society (well they're from England, but we're P.C. too), and also a call to remember our brothers and sisters in the middle east in prayer. This echos this article I saw today Christianity seen at risk of extinction in birthplace.

Michelle Malkin has a post up about the Simpsons and Family Guy being over the top with the military bashing. I'm sure some will claim its satire and we're being stuffy, but does anyone else think airing it on Veteran's Day weekend is a bad thing?

I've been meaning to mention the great apologetics work that phatcatholic has been doing over at his place, he's even got some podcasting going over there, I suggest everyone to check it out.

There's a website up with antique holy cards that I've seen mentioned both on Pro Ecclesia * Pro Familia * Pro Civitate and Curt Jester

We've been having a good time on Conservababes playing with maps trying to get the best score. We've been doing both the United States and Europe and Africa. As I was telling KOO I used to know all of Africa, but obviously from my score I've forgotten a good bit of it.

Lounge Daddy has got a post on crazy ol' Hugo Chavez.

Esther has a neat little post about traditional Hawaiian basket weaving and ties it together with Catholic tradition. I don't know about everyone else, but I think I'm ready to move to Hawaii now.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
