Post Election Day

I was going to write about whats going on with my parish, but that may depress me too much, so I've decided to go with the happier massacre of the GOP's hold on the House, and likely the Senate. I'll leave you all to wonder about what I ended up doing for Governor yesterday (that is unless someone asks ;) ).

Rumsfeld is gone. And I'm going to tick off some people in saying this, but I always liked Rumsfeld. I always thought he was pretty good, and I always loved the way he treated the media. But, I guess I can see that it was time for him to move on since he was a liability.

Here are some of the articles I'm reading.

Oh boy, trouble at your parish?

As for yesterday's slaughter, late Tuesday and early morning Wed. I was angry at the GOP for not being a stronger party...i.e.when it came to the prolife issue or when the Dems attacked the Pres., I seriously considered voting as an independent next time. However, after Cindy Sheehan's disgusting display at the White House yesterday (did you see the YouTube video?) and her calling not only for impeachment, but for indictment of Pres. Bush, her celebrating D.R.'s resignation, and then the anti-Bush protest across the street from my home yesterday, my blood boiled. I guess it's up to people like us to do something to help the Republican party. What? I don't know yet.

Chin up, and be as funny as possible! They'll be no lack of material for the next two years.

You have been studying Congressional Elections in school? That rocks!

That would be a fascinating course – I loved small business, personal law, and government courses in High School – and would have probably continued down one of those roads had I continued through college.

But nonetheless, I can still continue to follow these interests in life as a layman and “observer of the scene” so-to-speak.

As a husband and a father …that’s pretty important to be interested enough to follow these aspects of our culture and life… and even world-scene – don’t ya think? ;)

Any-hoo :)
I am curious what you did for your governor race (you can PM me at Phatmass of contact me via my blog e-mail)

I liked the articles you sighted – esp the PFL release.

I do see that the vote was not a “liberal mandate” at all even though the msm would love to portray it as such.

Many of the Dems elected to Federal and State offices are pro-life… pro-war blue-dog Lieberman won… traditional marriage won… …these are not the signs of a major liberal voter turn-out
According to what I have read, concern of corruption seeping into the GOP while in control of congress and the Presidency while entering into a new presidential election was key to the way citizens voted the way that thyey did…
*******

OK NOW:
At any rate, to hell with the analysis

My personal prediction? I’m glad you asked (wink)

WE ARE IN DANGER
(aka, pray pray and pray)

We are in for two years of subpoenas, document requests, legal proceedings, baseless accusations, plenty of “Bush lied,” and headlines fueled by liberal conspiracy theories…
This will not only mean an inactive Washington, but also a paralyzed DHS and Pentagon.

We will be attacked again within our country during this time…

Again, LOUNGE DADDY’S PREDICTION:

Washington and DHS will be rendered ineffectual by partisan politics and politically-based investigations… and we will be hit within our borders within the next two years.

This is just my call...
But worth note and prayer

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
