Christmas Watch 2006

Laura H at ...and if not... noted that the Catholic League and Fr. Groeschel's Fransiscan Friars of Renewal are doing a Christmas Watch 2006. The aim is to spotlight those grinches who refuse to acknowledge what Christmas is really about.

According to the Catholic League's website...

Every December sees its fair share of "Grinches," those retailers, schools, websites, towns and municipalities who refuse to acknowledge Christmas as part of the "holiday season." These Christmas kill-joys are all around.

This Christmas, the Catholic League is teaming up with Father Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R. and the other Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to put the spotlight on these folks. Should you notice one of these Grinches, please let us know. You may submit the details either by faxing the Catholic League at 212-371-3394, writing to us at 450 Seventh Avenue, New York, New York 10123 or by e-mailing catalyst@catholicleague.org.

The names of the nominees are posted below and on Father Benedict's website, www.franciscanfriars.com. Each Friday, we will select the worst offender and dub it the Supreme Grinch of the Week.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
