Mark your calendar's folks, I'm publicly announcing my unhappiness with W. Since I haven't been blogging here long that may not seem like a big thing, but oh it is. I have always given him the benefit of the doubt on lots of things including - embryonic stem cell research, immigration, SCOTUS picks, the port deal (well I always thought that was overblown). But I have been unhappy with him since I first read about this Plan B deal a couple weeks ago in Fr. Euteneuer's blog/HLI's website.
I'm not ready to go to "Bush is evil!!!1!" or anything, but I am unhappy with all this. During the Harriet Miers thing my Mom told me she was going to remove the W'04 sticker on her car. I persuaded her against it in part because I was trusting him and part because I remember pulling off the Bush/Cheney 00 sticker the night of the election thinking he'd lost. She's threatening to do it again and I'm not saying anything. It just doesn't seem to fit with our pro-life stickers anymore.+

- Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. I have always given Pres. Bush the benefit of the doubt too. I really don't know what to think. I'm trying really hard not to judge him.
