Pumpkin Time

I bought a pumpkin today. It was actually pretty cheap, its a good sized one, and it was only about $3.50 with tax. Now there is a question of what to do with it. I am having some friends over for Halloween on Friday, and we will have trick-or-treaters, so I should carve him up and make something of him.

Its been years and years since I've done a jack-o-lantern though, and the last time I did I ended up putting a slice into my palm when my hand slid down the knife.

I've seen several with a cross carved out instead of a face. In light of All Saint's Day, I think that is a good idea.

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
