My Holy Card

Athanasius contra mundum of 50 Days After tagged me for a meme last week and I finally have a chance to do it. The substance of the meme is...

What picture would I use for my holy card, should I make it to sainthood, and of what cause(s) would I want to be patron of?

I thought about it and first I thought the obvious, I should be the patron of bloggers. Except I'm not a very good blogger, so I put that notion aside. Then I thought I could be a patron of teachers, but even though I'm working on getting my certification I'm still not sure I should be a teacher so I shouldn't be patron of them.

Finally I decided I should be a patron of people who are unsure of what their vocation or calling is. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, and it shows.

Here's my holy card, I felt it necessary to add the 'of Chicagoland', because you never know some day there may be lots of St. Sunnys. But I would also find St. Sunny the Greater also acceptable. ;)

Clever and inspiring because this is the 2nd one of these I have come across and now I think I need to make this an assignment for my middle schoolers. I bet they will come up with some great stuff.
Thank you for the idea.
(And thank you to the person that tagged you.)

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
