That’s Love

I saw Ricochet at a Bush rally in Racine in 2004, and they sang this song.

Ricochet: That’s Love

Young girl wakes up in the middle of the night
Makes her way to the kitchen
Carrying a brand new life inside
Woke her up kicking
She decided the day she walked away from that clinic
Her baby might not have a daddy
But at least he’ll be living

That’s love
When you sacrifice for someone else
And you put them before yourself
And you don’t think about what you’re giving up

That’s love

An old man sits by his wife’s bed
And she don’t even know him
To her he’s just that nice man
Who comes by every morning
He knows she can’t remember him
But that don’t keep him from going
He’ll be there ‘til her final breath
His vows never broken

That’s Love

When you sacrifice for someone else
And you put them before yourself
And you don’t think about what you’re giving up
That’s love

An only son hanging from a cross
They say he died for all of us

When you sacrifice for someone else
And you put them before yourself
And you don’t think about what you’re giving up
When you sacrifice for someone else
And you put them before yourself
And you don’t think about what you’re giving up

That’s love
That’s love
That’s love

About Me

My photo
Catholic and politically conservative, I graduated with a BA in History (concentration in American) and Political Science. I'm between two parishes; one in Wisconsin that is fairly traditional, and one in Illinois that is fairly liberal. I teach CCD. I work in the food service industry, which basically means I'm working in fast food until I find a better job. I'd like to work for the church somehow. Right now I'm working on getting my teaching certification, although I'm unsure thats the correct path for me. This blog is as random as I am. I hope you enjoy.
